In the first period, the main commitment consisted of consultancy services and management of practices for the ministerial registration of medical surgical devices. A year later, the direct production phase of semi-finished products for third parties begins, supported by an activity of representation of manufacturers of disposable articles. In 1997 the production plant in Viadana (MN), currently operational, was built in Via Guido Rossa in the Gerbolina Industrial Zone. The company transfer ends in 1998. In 1999 KnowMedical obtains the CE mark and the certification of the Company Quality System according to the regulations in force.
The authorization for the production of medical-surgical devices is issued by the notified body 0373 "Istituto Superiore di Sanità", together with CE certificates for medical devices belonging to classes Is, lla & III according to European Directive 93/42/EEC, implemented with Legislative Decree No. 46 of 24/02/1997. Between 2000 & 2005 KnowMedical obtains the CE certificate for new product families certificate for new product families. In 2007 the company obtained the Quality System certification issued by the notified body 0475 ICIM SPA. Know Medical is currently ISO9001: 2008 and ISO13485:2004 certified. In 2012 KnowMedical built a new warehouse and another new Clear Room. In the same year the company started an eCommerce activity for some product families.
